SKARDU: The unofficial results of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections are continuing to come in, with 19 out of 24 directly elected seats now reported. According to the unofficial and final results, the Pakistan Peoples Party won 9 seats, the Muslim League (N) won 7 (2 supported candidates), 2 independent candidates supported by the PTI and one candidate from the Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen won.

Many big leaders have faced defeat in the elections held in Gilgit-Baltistan, including former Governor Jalal Khan, nationalist leader Nawaz Khan Naji, former Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan and others.

According to the unconfirmed and unofficial results received so far, no candidate from the Stability Pakistan Party was successful, while no candidate from the Islami Tehreek and JUI-F was successful. Only one candidate from MWM, former opposition leader Kazim Maisam, was successful.

GBA 1 Gilgit 1

Amjad Hussain of the Pakistan Peoples Party won by getting 10,568 votes, while Muhammad Shafiquddin of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) was in second place with 6,245 votes.

GBA 2 Gilgit 2

Hafizur Rehman of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) won by getting 11,333 votes, while Jamil Ahmed of the Pakistan Peoples Party was in second place with 6,649 votes.

GBA 3 Gilgit 3

According to the unofficial results of all 82 polling stations, PTI-backed independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas was declared successful with 7877 votes, while Aftab Haider Advocate of Pakistan Peoples Party was in second place with 7361 votes.

GBA 4 Nagar 1

Pakistan Peoples Party’s Muhammad Ali Akhtar was successful with 7654 votes, while Islami Tehreek-e-Pakistan’s Muhammad Ayub Waziri was in second place with 6597 votes.

GBA 5 Nagar 2

According to the unofficial results of all 32 polling stations, PPP’s Zulfiqar Ali Murad was successful with 2705 votes, while Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen’s Riaz Akbar was in second place with 2584 votes.

GBA 6 Hunza

PTI-backed independent candidate Neknam Karim won by securing 6111 votes, Hunza Ittehad’s Raja Nazimuddin came second with 4700 votes and Pakistan Peoples Party’s Imtiaz-ul-Haq came third with 4540 votes.

GBA 7 Skardu 1

According to the unofficial results of all 31 polling stations, Pakistan Peoples Party’s Syed Tauqeer Mehdi won by securing 4337 votes while Pakistan Party’s Raja Jalal Hussain Khan came second with 3891 votes. PML-N’s Akbar Taban came third.

GBA 8 Skardu 2

According to the unofficial results of all 70 polling stations, Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen’s Muhammad Kazim Maisam won by securing 10474 votes, while PPP’s Syed Muhammad Ali Shah came second with 10118 votes.

GBA 9 Skardu 3

According to the unofficial results of all 54 polling stations, Pakistan Peoples Party’s Fida Muhammad Nashad won with 6314 votes while independent candidate Wazir Muhammad Saleem came in second with 6106 votes.

GBA 10 Skardu 4

Peoples Party candidate Raja Nasir Maqpun won with 6639 votes while Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen candidate Mushtaq Hussain got 1059 votes.

GBA 11

Unofficial results of all 51 polling stations have been received, according to which PPP’s Iqbal Hassan won with 6141 votes while PML-N’s Mohsin Rizvi came in second with 4170 votes.

GBA-12 Sugar

Peoples Party candidate Imran Nadeem has won by getting 12179 votes while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Islami Raja Azam Khan of Pakistan is in second place with 7700 votes.

GBA-13 Astore 1

According to the unofficial results of 36 out of 57 polling stations, Pakistan Muslim League (N)’s Rana Farman Ali is in first place with 4368 votes while independent candidate Shahida is in second place with 4312 votes. Pakistan Peoples Party’s Fahad Hanif is in third place with 4803 votes.

According to a journalist from Astore, both candidates have been called for a total recount in this constituency.

Pakistan Muslim League (N)’s Rana Farooq has won while PPP’s Syed Abbas Moosavi is in second place and Shamsul-ul-Haq of Pakistan Stability Party is in third place.

GBA 15 Diamer 1

According to the unofficial results of 11 out of 51 polling stations, independent candidate Muhammad Dilpazir is in first place with 1426 votes, while Wali-ur-Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) is in second place with 996 votes.

GBA 16 Diamer 2

According to the unofficial results of 8 out of 42 polling stations, Atiqullah of the Ustasha Pakistan Party is in first place with 1302 votes, while Muhammad Anwar of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) is in second place with 1069 votes.

GBA 17 Diamer 3

According to the unofficial results of 11 out of 46 polling stations, Muhammad Naseem of the Pakistan Peoples Party is in first place with 2244 votes, while Rehmat Khaliq of JUI-F is in second place with 1128 votes.

GBA 18 Diamer 4

Kifayat-ur-Rehman of Pakistan Muslim League (N) won while Gulbar Khan of Utsharq Pakistan Party faced defeat.
