SEOUL: South Korea has opened applications for the UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2026, offering fully funded opportunities for young Pakistani professionals in the fields of heritage preservation, education, research, and community development.
The event will take place from July 13 to July 21, 2026. It will be hosted by the Korean National Commission for UNESCO and the Korean Cultural Heritage Administration. The event enables young professionals from multiple countries to develop their ability to create social progress through their work in heritage and educational fields and youth-based programs.
The forum will explore the relationship between World Heritage sites and local communities and educational systems and how youth can become effective agents of social transformation. The program will select thirty young professionals from multiple countries with Pakistan as one of the eligible nations.
The selected participants will receive complete financial assistance which covers their international round-trip flights and nine-day accommodation, daily meals, visa expenses and local travel costs. The scholarship program enables exceptional students from Pakistan and other nations to study abroad without facing financial difficulties.
The candidates must meet the requirement of being at least 23 years old but not older than 32 years. The candidates need to show that they were born between 1994 and 2003 to meet this requirement. The program accepts qualified professionals who work as teachers, lecturers, heritage site managers, heritage researchers, innovation specialists, and Non-Government Organization employees dedicated to cultural development projects.
The professionals must demonstrate their active involvement in heritage activities while displaying their dedication to youth leadership development and community development programs.
The Pakistani applicants who want to apply should submit their applications through the online system before the deadline which is scheduled for March 15 2026.
