PESHAWAR: Another illegal appointments case surfaced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the Sports Department has appointed three computer operators to the posts of District Sports Officer.
The Sports Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has appointed computer operators as District Sports Officers. According to a notification issued on December 19, a total of 11 officers and personnel have been transferred and posted in the Sports Department.
The notification also includes details of the appointment of two computer operators as District Sports Officers. According to the notification, computer operator Owais Shah has been appointed as District Sports Officer Swabi, while computer operator Muhammad Akram has been appointed as District Sports Officer Kohistan.
After the recent incident of the Public Health Department appointing a watchman as a sub-engineer, this notification of the Sports Department has also gone viral on social media, which is being severely criticised by users.
The notification has clarified that the computer operators have been appointed as District Sports Officers on their existing pay scale. However, questions are being raised in government and public circles about this move.
