Four persons were killed and two others injured in a tragic shooting incident in the limits of Shabri Bharat, Police station in Bannu district.
According to police, a woman, her two sons and another person were killed on the spot while two others, including a girl, were injured in the shooting.
After the incident, panic spread in the area while police reached the spot to collect evidence and start investigation.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where they are being treated. Police officials said the motives of the incident were being determined and investigations were underway.
Bannu district, bordering North Waziristan, has seen frequent firing,shooting incidents over the last 2-3 years. Most are linked to militancy, law & order protests, or targeted attacks.
