HANGU: Four children died after drowning in Kotki Talab, Hangu on Sunday, while one remains in critical condition.
According to police and rescue officials, the incident occurred when five children fell into the pond. Rescue 1122 teams reached the site immediately after receiving the information and launched a search and rescue operation.All five children were pulled from the water. Four were pronounced dead at the scene.
The fifth child, who sustained serious injuries, was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Hangu in critical condition.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured child were later transported to DHQ Hospital Hangu for medico-legal procedures and treatment.Authorities have urged parents to keep children away from ponds, canals, and open water bodies during the hot summer season to prevent such tragedies.
