PESHAWAR: An FIR has been registered against PTI MPA Shakeel Khan under anti-terrorism provisions following a firing incident on Levies personnel in Malakand that left two officials injured.
Shakeel Khan, a PTI member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from Swat, has been named in the FIR, which was registered on the complaint of injured Levies official Bilal under provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act and other sections of the law.
According to reports, the incident took place in Batkhela, where guards accompanying the MPA allegedly opened fire on Levies personnel, injuring two officials.
Videos purportedly showing the MPA’s guards firing have also surfaced on social media.
Sources said no leniency or concession would be shown in the case, adding that strict legal action was being pursued against those responsible under a zero-tolerance policy.
