ZHOB: Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that terrorists and their facilitators will be pursued at every level, reaffirming the military’s resolve to continue operations against militancy across the country.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir made these remarks during his visit to forward positions in Zhob district and along the western border on the occasion of Eidul Azha, where he also spent time with troops serving on the frontlines.

During the visit, he offered Eid prayers with deployed personnel and lauded their high morale, professionalism, and unwavering commitment in the fight against terrorism.

The Field Marshal said that recent terrorist attacks, including one in Quetta, were aimed at undermining national morale, but stressed that the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces and the nation remains stronger than ever.

He reiterated that counterterrorism operations will continue without interruption and that no space will be left for militants or their support networks to operate within the country.

He praised the sacrifices of soldiers serving in difficult terrain along the western border and said their dedication reflects the true spirit of Eidul Azha acrifice, duty, and devotion to the nation.

Security operations across the border regions have intensified in recent months as Pakistan continues efforts to curb militant activity and strengthen border control measures.

Armed forces chiefs extend Eidul Azha greetings to nation

Earlier, Pakistan’s military leadership has extended Eidul Azha greetings to the nation and the wider Muslim world, describing the religious festival as a powerful symbol of sacrifice, devotion and obedience to God.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, in their joint message, said that Eidul Azha reminds believers of the great spirit of sacrifice, selflessness, obedience, and the willingness to give up everything for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.

They said these values are also reflected in the spirit of the armed forces personnel who continue to serve the country with dedication and sacrifice, often away from their families, in defence of the homeland.

According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, troops from the Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force, along with Rangers, Frontier Corps, and other security agencies, remain deployed across borders, the Line of Control, and sensitive areas during Eid to ensure peace and security so citizens can celebrate the festival in a safe environment.

The leadership paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and their families, acknowledging their resilience, patience, and unwavering commitment to the country. They said the nation remains indebted to those who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The message also emphasized that Eidul Azha promotes unity, brotherhood, compassion, and service to humanity, urging citizens to remember the less fortunate, including families of martyrs and vulnerable communities, during the festive occasion.

The armed forces reaffirmed their resolve to continue safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating that they remain fully prepared to respond to any threat against the country at all times.
