Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has unveiled a new uniform for its cabin crew as part of efforts to modernise the airline’s image and strengthen its brand identity.

The new uniform was formally launched by the airline’s management in Lahore. It has been designed by renowned Pakistani fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, popularly known as HSY.

According to the airline, the new look will become part of PIA’s operations from October 31, 2026. The uniform will first be worn by the crew operating the inaugural flight of PIA’s new Boeing Dreamliner service between Islamabad and London.

In September 2026, PIA organised a design showcase in Karachi, inviting 10 leading Pakistani fashion designers to present concepts for the new cabin crew uniform. Participants included Nomi Ansari, Amir Adnan and Generation.

The jury selected HSY’s design based on its suitability for long-haul flights, durability, comfort and representation of Pakistani culture blended with contemporary design.

The uniform change is part of PIA’s broader efforts to refresh its corporate image and modernise its brand following the airline’s privatisation process.

The new design is expected to give the cabin crew a refreshed appearance while reflecting Pakistan’s cultural identity and the airline’s evolving image.
