PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar Zone has arrested a suspected travel agent for allegedly arranging a fake employment visa that was used by a passenger to travel abroad.

According to the FIA, passenger Bakhtiar Rawan was deported from Bangkok, Thailand, on August 28, 2026, after authorities discovered irregularities related to his travel documents.

The passenger had allegedly obtained an employment visa by fraudulently converting a visit visa. He also secured Protector registration on the basis of the allegedly fake employment visa.

The passenger subsequently travelled abroad from Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar, using the suspected fraudulent employment visa.

The FIA said an agent, Noor Muhammad, had allegedly arranged the fake visa for the passenger.

Following extensive efforts, an FIA team conducted a raid within the jurisdiction of Lund Khwar police station in Mardan and arrested Noor Muhammad, who was nominated in FIR No. 132/2026 registered on August 28, 2026.

The FIA said further legal proceedings against the arrested suspect are underway.
