ISLAMABAD: The district administration has announced that entry into the Red Zone will remain suspended on Tuesday, April 21, as part of heightened security measures for the arrival of high-profile foreign delegations.
In a notification issued late Monday night, the Islamabad District Magistrate advised all public and private offices, as well as educational institutions located within the area, to adopt a work-from-home arrangement to prevent any inconvenience to the public.
The movement restrictions, which include the closure of the Extended Red Zone, are tied to the anticipated second round of peace talks between the United States and Iran hosted in the federal capital. Authorities have clarified that while essential staff may be required to remain on call, general entry for commuters and students will be restricted. Citizens are urged to use alternative routes, such as Margalla Road and 9th Avenue, as the Expressway and other primary arteries may face intermittent closures or diversions throughout the day.
