MALAKAND: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs and SAFRON and President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Amir Muqam has said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is working day and night for the youth of the country, and empowering the youth is the top priority of his government. Investment in youth is actually the guarantee of Pakistan’s bright future.
Addressing the distribution ceremony of Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme Phase Four at Malakand University on Monday, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme was started under the vision of PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, not only revived it but also expanded it further.
“Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif personally oversees educational, digital and skill development projects for the youth and ensures that the youth of the country move forward according to modern requirements,” He said
Engineer Amir Muqam clarified that the laptop scheme is completely based on merit and transparency. If any case proves that the laptop was given without merit, then he is ready to leave politics. This is a categorical decision of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif that only those students who really deserve it are entitled to this facility.
He stated that this program of national importance had remained closed from 2018 to 2022; however, after Shahbaz Sharif became Prime Minister again in 2022, the first decision was taken to revive the scheme. So far, more than 1 million laptops have been distributed across the country, and this process will continue at full speed in the future.
The Federal Minister said that laptops are being distributed today among 600 meritorious students of Malakand University. Appreciating the university’s performance, he said that Malakand University’s first position in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its prominent position across the country are proof that, if opportunities are given to the youth of mountainous and remote areas, they can also play a key role in the country’s and nation’s development.
Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that according to the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government is also paying full attention to projects like the Digital Skills Program, Scholarships, Green Youth Movement, Sports Facilities and Danish Schools so that the youth can be provided with better opportunities for education, skills and employment.
He assured that his office is available at all times to resolve the problems and demands of Malakand University, and full cooperation will be extended in the approval of PC-1 for the improvement of educational and sports infrastructure.
Finally, the Federal Minister urged the students to use their talents in a positive direction, use social media responsibly and constructively and play their role in the development, stability and prosperity of Pakistan. He said that a strong, dignified and prosperous Pakistan is the common goal of all of us. On this occasion, the Federal Minister distributed laptops among the students. The university students appreciated the Prime Minister’s laptop scheme and thanked the Federal Minister, Engineer Amir Muqam.
Earlier, the Federal Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, was given a detailed briefing by the Vice Chancellor of Jamia Malakand about the overall performance of the university, academic activities and challenges faced.
During the briefing, the Vice Chancellor informed about the ongoing educational programs, research projects, faculty performance, student facilities and future development plans at Jamia Malakand.
He also highlighted the financial and administrative problems faced by the university and the steps needed to improve infrastructure. He demanded the construction of a cricket ground for the students. On this occasion, Engineer Amir Muqam appreciated the educational quality of Jamia Malakand and its role in promoting higher education in the region and said that the government is committed to providing quality education to the youth.
He assured that all possible support will be provided at the federal level to solve the legitimate problems of Jamia Malakand and complete the development projects. The Federal Minister said that sustainable development is not possible without the promotion of education, research and skills, and the government is taking steps to align educational institutions with modern requirements.
On this occasion, Malik Jahanzeb Khan, President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Malakand Division, Senator Zahid Khan, Malik Farooq Iqbal, District President Lower Dir, Nisar Khan Wardak, District President Upper Dir, Malik Noman Yousafzai, Coordinator Prime Minister Youth Program Malakand Division, Faizullah Khan, Attaullah Khan, Zahidullah Khan, Sajjad Khan and Farid Yousafzai were also present.
Earlier, Federal Minister and President PML (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Amir Muqam was warmly welcomed on his arrival at Jamia Chakdara. Vice Chancellor Jamia Chakdara, faculty members and senior officials of the administration were present on the occasion.
Engineer Amir Muqam, while talking briefly to party workers, said that the PML-N is following the agenda of public service, development and prosperity, and development projects will be promoted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
