DUBAI: Emirates has launched a new summer promotion offering free hotel stays in Dubai for eligible passengers travelling with the airline.
Under the limited-time offer, travellers flying to Dubai or stopping in the city for more than 24 hours can stay at a five-star hotel free of cost.
According to international media reports, passengers must book their return tickets between June 22 and July 12, while travel must take place between June 25 and September 30.
The airline said first-class and business-class passengers will receive two complimentary nights at a luxury hotel in Dubai. Premium economy and economy-class passengers will be offered one free night.
Emirates said the initiative is aimed at boosting tourism in Dubai and encouraging international visitors to explore the city’s attractions during the summer season.
Passengers using the package will also get access to a special discount programme covering more than 600 restaurants, shopping centres, entertainment venues and spa facilities across Dubai.
Tourism experts believe such offers help attract more international visitors and support the travel and hospitality sectors during the summer months.
Easy way to check UAE visa status online
Moreover, if you have a residence or tourist visa for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and are unsure about its validity or expiry, the immigration authorities provide fast online services that allow individuals to check their visa status within seconds.
According to international media reports, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced a 30-day grace period for individuals affected by exceptional regional circumstances.
During this period, affected residents can regularise their visa status or leave the UAE without facing overstay fines.
This grace period remains valid until 9 July 2026 and applies to individuals who were unable to depart due to disruptions caused by recent regional conditions.
For those whose visas were issued in Dubai, the visa status can be checked through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai official website.
Applicants are required to access the visa status service, select a search method such as application number or file number, and enter the required personal details, including name, nationality, and date of birth.
After completing the captcha verification, users can submit the request to view their visa details, which may include file number, visa validity, issue date, and expiry date.
For visas issued in other emirates such as Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, or Fujairah, residents can use the ICP online services portal.
By selecting the public services section and choosing the file validity option, users can search using details such as file number, passport information, Emirates ID, or unified ID number.
After entering the required information and completing verification, the system displays full visa details, including status and expiry information.
These online systems provide a convenient and efficient way for UAE residents and visitors to monitor their visa status and ensure compliance with immigration regulations.
