KHUZDAR: Residents of Khuzdar district in Balochistan experienced earthquake tremors on Saturday, causing panic among citizens who rushed out of their homes and shops.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 3.2 on the Richter scale. The depth of the quake was recorded at 10 kilometers with the epicenter located 75 kilometers northwest of Khuzdar.
As soon as the tremors were felt, locals came out of their houses and shops and gathered in open areas, reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba in fear.
No reports of casualties or property damage have been received so far. Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and follow safety guidelines during seismic activity.
Balochistan lies on active fault lines and experiences frequent low to moderate earthquakes.
