PESHAWAR (Kamran Ali Shah): The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Mardan has lodged a first information report (FIR) under various sections against unknown assailants in the murder of Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Idress, who was targeted near his house in Utmanzai Charsadda this morning.
According to the police, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the CTD Mardan police station regarding the murder of Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Idrees. Sheikh Muhammad Idrees was killed, and two policemen were injured when unknown assailants on motorcycles opened fire.
The injured policemen were assigned to provide security for Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Idrees. The FIR was lodged based on the complaint of Police Constable Sher Alam, who was among those injured in the attack.
Police sources reported that the FIR names unidentified suspects and includes several charges, such as Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, which encompasses both terrorism and murder.
The FIR states that Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Idrees, along with two policemen and a driver, was present in the vehicle when they came under attack. The assailants fired upon their vehicle from behind.
