A Sikh couple was killed in a tragic incident of firing at a Gurdwara in Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a spokesperson for Mardan police, the incident took place in Babu Mohalla, where unknown persons entered a room of the Gurdwara and opened fire on a couple who were on duty for the cleanliness of the worship place.
According to the police, as a result of the firing, the couple, who were assigned to clean the Gurdwara and lived there, died on the spot, while the attackers managed to escape after the incident.
After the incident, the police have cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence. Officials say that an investigation into the incident is underway from various aspects, and special teams have been formed to search for the accused. According to police, all resources are being used to bring the accused to justice soon.
