PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Suhail Afridi made an unannounced visit to the Saddar Bazaar of Peshawar without any protocol.

During the visit, the chief minister visited various areas of the market. He mingled with the public, who welcomed him with open arms. People took pictures with him.

The visit of the chief minister became a highlight as it marked a unique situation wherein the chief minister of the province moved around without any protocol.

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announces Eid on Saturday

Meanwhile, the important meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to see the moon of Shawwal 1447 AH in the federal capital, however, no evidence of the moon has been received from any part of the country and Eid will be celebrated on Saturday.

The meeting is being presided over by the Chairman of the Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in which prominent scholars of different schools of thought, experts from the Meteorological Department and representatives of Suparco are participating.

Speaking during the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that most of the country is currently covered in clouds and no evidence of the moon has been received so far.

On the other hand, the meetings of the zonal committees are also ongoing at their respective places, which will send their reports to the Central Committee.
