CHITRAL: The Chitral Upper Polo team has emerged champion in the Commander Peshawar Corps junior polo cup while defeating rival Chitral Lower team in a thrilling final match here the other day.
The Polo final match was played between Chitral Upper and Chitral Lower, with the Corps Commander Peshawar as the chief guest, and other officers from the Pakistan Army and civilians were present on the occasion.
After a thrilling match, Chitral Upper won the final match and took the title of the Commander Peshawar Corps Junio Polo Cup championship.
A large number of spectators from various areas enjoyed the traditional game of polo and enthusiastically supported the players. Abdullah Raza was declared the best player of the final match. At the conclusion of the event, the chief guest, the Corps Commander of Peshawar, presented prizes to the players.
Numerous attendees were present, including senior civil and military officials. The significant turnout demonstrates that the people of Chitral are advocates for peace.
