ISLAMABAD: Former First Lady Bushra Bibi, who is incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, has been shifted to Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital for a medical check-up.
According to sources, she was brought from the jail to the hospital under tight security, where ophthalmologists will conduct a follow-up check-up of her affected eye.
It should be noted that Bushra Bibi’s eye surgery was performed on April 17 this month at Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital, after which, according to the jail manual, her medical check-up has been regularly conducted inside Adiala Jail. However, today’s transfer is part of the mandatory follow-up check-up after the surgery.
Sources further said that Bushra Bibi will be shifted back to Adiala Jail after all the necessary tests and medical examinations are completed in the hospital. On this occasion, very strict security arrangements have been made around the hospital.
