KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has accused India of funding terrorist organizations operating in Pakistan, warning that the current tensions between the two countries could escalate into another conflict at any time.

Addressing a French media channel, Bilawal Bhutto said that there must be dialogue between both nations for permanent peace. He further stated that terrorism was not merely an issue for Pakistan, but India was also affected by it.

On the subject of the Strait of Hormuz, he said that there was no military solution to the problem. “If the tensions between Iran and America rise again, then its repercussions will not remain confined to the region,” he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism that the recently brokered ceasefire between Iran and the United States would be sustainable, underscoring Pakistan’s pivotal role in facilitating the agreement.

Speaking in Gilgit-Baltistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan maintained continuous engagement with both countries to extend the ceasefire and hopes it will contribute to lasting peace in the region.

It is significant to highlight that Pakistan’s progress will not move forward until Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir become part of the nation’s development plans. The Prime Minister promised that he will make it a routine affair to visit Gilgit to keep an eye on the ongoing projects in this regard.

During his tour to Gilgit, the Prime Minister laid the foundations of four Danish schools, launched free solar panels in the area, and launched the Safe Cities project in Gilgit and Skardu. Moreover, laptops have been handed over to students through the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.
