NARAN: The district administration in Naran has issued a travel advisory for tourists, commuters and transport operators heading to Babusar Top, warning of hazardous conditions due to continuous snowfall in the area.

As per the advisory, constant snowfall is posing dangers to travel through the area, leading to slushy roads, slow-moving traffic, and considerable disruption in transportation facilities from various points on the way.

It was informed that currently the entire route had become unidirectional for traffic movement, as the intensity of snowfall increased after 6 p.m., making the journey extremely difficult and at times almost impossible to undertake.

Further, the administration has also highlighted the danger posed by the snowfall in the mountainous areas, with a fall of snow and other natural calamities like glacial melting, rock fall, and landslide, posing hazards to lives and property of people.

Travellers and tourists have been advised against unnecessary travel in light of the prevailing situation in the area.

In addition to this, it is important that people take instructions from the administration regarding this situation and act accordingly.

The Babusar Pass is a tourist attraction which connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. This place faces difficult climatic situations due to excessive snowfall in some areas.
