PESHAWAR (Kamran Ali Shah): Another accused in the famous Kohistan financial scandal on Tuesday applied for a plea bargain at the National Accountability Court in Peshawar.
According to sources, Jibran Malik, the accused, submitted an application to Accountability Court No. 3. Accountability Judge Muhammad Zafar forwarded the application to the Director General of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for further action.
Currently, the applicant is in NAB custody. The application states that NAB alleges a transaction of Rs. 49.125 million has occurred in the applicant’s account. Jibran Malik is seeking a plea bargain with NAB without any pressure, and he desires to negotiate this plea bargain in three instalments.
The application requests that the court order the investigation officer to implement the plea bargain. Additionally, it asks that the relevant authorities of NAB be instructed to take action on this application under the NAB Ordinance. The court has sent the application to the DG NAB KP for further action.
