Occupied Kashmir:: Explosion at the Nowgam Police Station of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir resulted extensive fire that engulfed vehicles and buildings. The police station was key to the recent anti-terror investigation.

A significant explosion occurred at the Nowgam police station in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in extensive fires that engulfed vehicles and buildings on the premises.

According to Indian media reports, the explosion was not the result of a terrorist attack, but rather due to experiments involving ammonium nitrate, which led to the detonation of the material.

Indian media further stated that the explosion cannot be classified as terrorism, as doing so might increase political pressure for military action against Pakistan. If the Indian government were to label this incident as a terrorist attack, political parties, including Congress, could demand more stringent measures against Pakistan.

Political analysts have noted that the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government has become more measured in its approach to Pakistan following recent military actions, with concerns that a further escalation could result in significant losses, particularly in terms of aircraft damages.

While investigations into the cause of the explosion are ongoing, Indian media has emphasized that, at present, the incident is not being regarded as an act of terrorism.
