Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has said that if Sohail Afridi meets Imran Khan, neither the country will suffer any harm nor will there be any doomsday.

The Punjab Governor said that if Sohail Afridi meets the founder of his party, there is no problem with it. He should be allowed to meet the founder of his party; such a meeting will not harm the country. Sardar Saleem Haider was addressing a press conference along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. He said that he was grateful to Governor Kundi for his hospitality.

The Punjab Governor said that relations between the PPP and the PML-N are cordial, and an alliance was formed between the two parties after the elections. He said that the 18-month government proved to be a nightmare for the PPP, but now we want to run the system in a better way. He said that the Prime Minister has assured Bilawal Bhutto that the concerns of the PPP will be addressed, that there is a relationship based on mutual respect between the two parties, and that the country’s progress lies in the current government continuing to function.

Sardar Saleem Haider said that if the system derails, there will be no other option, that the alliance with the PML-N is not out of love but of compulsion, and that the two parties should have met to form the government after the elections. He said that the people are still facing difficulties, that it is the government’s responsibility to get them out of difficulties, and that things will hopefully improve in the coming days. The Governor of Punjab said that Punjab should play the role of an elder brother and that it is ready to bear its losses for the betterment of the country.

He said that the workers of the PPP and the PML-N are not ready to accept each other, but due to political compulsions, they had to sit in the government, which caused losses to the PPP. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will have to join the political process and get its rights through political means. Shahbaz Sharif is the Prime Minister of the same country, and we have good relations with him.

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider said that political differences have their place, but protecting the rights of the people of the province is everyone’s responsibility. The provinces will have to get their rights through better working relations.
