South Waziristan: A curfew has been enforced in parts of Upper South Waziristan District from 6:00 AM on October 21 until 6:00 AM on October 23.
According to the notification, during this 48-hour period, movement will be completely restricted, and all markets and bazaars in these areas will remain closed.
There will be no exception, and the following routes will be affected: Tiyarza to Torwam, Barwand to Mole Khan Sarai, and Saplatoi. The use of those routes will only be permitted for emergency cases. If an emergency arises, people will have to get permission from the police or security forces and show proper identification or paperwork.
Furthermore, drivers will have to either stop or relocate their vehicles 100 meters away from the road whenever they spot the security vehicle.

Earlier on October 6, the district administration of South Waziristan has enforced a day-long curfew in Wana and Shakai tehsils, from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
According to the official notification, there will be no movement during the curfew period. All markets, commercial centers, and shops in the relevant areas will be completely closed.
The order further states that entry to Shakai and the Anzar Cheena-Wana route will be strictly restricted. Movement will be allowed only in case of an emergency and with pre-authorization from police or security personnel, after presenting a valid ID card and accompanying documents.
The residents are also requested to drive their vehicles off the road by at least 100 meters, if a security forces vehicle is seen in the area, so that no tragedy might happen.
The district administration has requested citizens to cooperate as much as possible with law enforcement agencies during curfew time in the spirit of peace and public safety
