The Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok has introduced a revised fee structure for electronic passports (e-passports), following the discontinuation of machine-readable passport (MRP) issuance on October 23, 2026.
The new schedule, effective from October 23, covers regular and urgent processing charges for passports with different page capacities and validity periods, as well as fees for replacing lost passports.
Under the revised rates, a 36-page e-passport valid for five years costs 1,500 Thai baht under normal processing and 2,400 baht under urgent processing. For a 10-year passport with the same page capacity, the fees are 2,200 baht and 3,500 baht, respectively.
For 72-page e-passports valid for five years, applicants will pay 2,600 baht for normal processing and 4,100 baht for urgent processing. A 10-year, 72-page passport costs 3,800 baht under normal processing and 6,000 baht under urgent processing.
The embassy has also specified charges for replacing lost passports. The fee for a first lost passport ranges from 3,000 to 12,000 baht, depending on the page capacity, validity period and processing category.
For a second lost passport, the charges range from 6,000 to 24,000 baht across the available categories.
Meanwhile, the replacement fee for a third or fourth lost passport will be determined under the applicable rules and will require approval from the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports headquarters in Islamabad.
The revised schedule outlines the charges applicable to Pakistani passport applicants seeking services through the embassy in Bangkok following the transition to e-passports.
