SWAT: An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted Swat and surrounding areas, triggering fear and panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake had a recorded depth of 196 kilometres, while its epicentre was located in the mountainous Hindu Kush region.
Tremors were felt in Swat and nearby areas, prompting concern among residents.
The earthquake’s considerable depth means it originated well below the Earth’s surface.
