ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has set October 20 as the final deadline for pilgrims registered under the government Hajj scheme to pay the second installment of their Hajj dues.

According to ministry officials, the collection of the second installment is currently underway, with 32,178 government-scheme pilgrims having completed their payments so far.

The ministry spokesperson said around 17,000 pilgrims paid the second installment through One Link from their homes, while approximately 1,400 pilgrims used bank cards and 13,800 made payments through manual bank challans.

The spokesperson said online payments through the Digital Hajj Portal have crossed 57 percent, while a total of Rs20.5 billion has so far been collected under the second installment.

Pilgrims can pay their dues through the National IT Board’s Hajj Portal using One Link, bank cards or manual bank challans.

Meanwhile, the ministry said 103,000 pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme have uploaded their medical fitness certificates through the designated app.

The remaining pilgrims are required to have the medical fitness form available on the Hajj Portal verified by a doctor and upload the necessary documentation.

The ministry has urged applicants who have yet to pay the second installment or complete their medical requirements to do so before the respective deadlines.
