PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that President Asif Ali Zardari has not yet sought a report regarding the law and order situation in the province.
KP Governor said that as soon as the President asks for the report, he will prepare and send it along with recommendations. “The law and order situation in the province is not satisfactory, and the KP government is not cooperating with the federal government regarding law and order,” he said.
Interior Minister and KP Governor Agree on Constitutional Role to Save Province from Terrorism Meanwhile, an important meeting was held between Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Peshawar, in which both agreed to play a constitutional role to save the province from terrorism.
According to a statement issued by the Governor House, if the President and Prime Minister deem Governor’s Rule or Emergency necessary, the Governor House will play its constitutional role.
Sources said that the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa informed that police are on alert due to the uncertain situation in the province and a strategy to deal with emergency situations has been prepared.
