PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has approved the pre-arrest bail application of former provincial minister and PTI leader Kamran Bangash in the Radio Pakistan attack case.
The hearing was conducted by Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice S.M. Attique Shah. Barrister Zafar and Advocate Inam Yousafzai appeared in court on behalf of Kamran Bangash.
During the hearing, Advocate Inam Yousafzai told the court that Kamran Bangash has been nominated in the Radio Pakistan attack case and there is a fear of his arrest, therefore, a pre-arrest bail application has been filed.
During the proceedings, Chief Justice S.M. Attique Shah made some notable remarks. He asked Inam Yousafzai, “You were removed from the AG office, are you still appearing for them?”
The Chief Justice remarked, “There was one competent person in the AG office, he was also removed.”In response, Advocate Inam Yousafzai stated, “We refused to pay extortion, that’s why we were removed.”On this, Chief Justice S.M. Attique Shah remarked, “It is surprising, even in the ‘Saaf Chali Shafaf Chali’ government, extortion is being demanded.
“After hearing the arguments, the court approved the pre-arrest bail application of former provincial minister Kamran Bangash.
