LAKKI MARWAT: Four people were killed and one injured when a property dispute turned violent in the Sulaiman Khel area of Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
Police said the incident took place inside a mosque after Maghrib prayers, where two rival parties involved in a long-standing land dispute exchanged fire.
As a result, three persons from one side and one from the other were killed on the spot, while another person sustained injuries. The deceased include a father, his son, and his nephew.
Rescue teams and police rushed to the scene after being informed and shifted the bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital. Police have cordoned off the area and collected evidence from the scene.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
