ISLAMABAD: The prices of petroleum products are expected to decline, with petrol and high-speed diesel likely to become cheaper from September 30.
According to local media report, petrol may see a reduction of around Rs1.50 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel could fall by approximately Rs2.73 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to determine the new petroleum prices tonight.
The expected reduction comes a day after the government had already lowered petroleum prices. Petrol was reduced by Rs2.27 per litre, while high-speed diesel became cheaper by Rs3.56 per litre.
Following the previous reduction, the price of petrol was set at Rs389.03 per litre, while high-speed diesel was priced at Rs404.97 per litre.
The final prices will be announced after OGRA completes the latest price review.
Petrol, Diesel Prices Drop as Govt Announces New Rates
Yesterday, the government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, providing some relief to consumers.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs3.56 per litre, bringing its new price to Rs404.97 per litre.
The price of petrol has also been cut by Rs2.27 per litre, with the new rate set at Rs389.03 per litre.
The revised prices will be applicable from September 29.
