ISLAMABAD: NADRA has introduced a Proof of Life Certificate facility to make it easier for pensioners and government employees to complete their life verification certificate through biometric authentication.
According to NADRA’s officials, employees and pensioners of various government institutions can use the facility through biometric verification. The facility covers retired federal government employees who served in the civil service, as well as employees of provincial government ministries.
Personnel of the Pakistan Army, Air Force and Navy and Radio Pakistan’s employees are included in the list.
NADRA said work is also under way to extend the facility to employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), WAPDA, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Steel Mills, EOBI pensioners and other government institutions.
Those whose institutions are covered have been advised to complete their biometric verification through the Pak-ID app. The Proof of Life Certificate is used to verify that pensioners or other eligible beneficiaries are alive, helping institutions maintain updated records.
