ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) is set to announce the annual Intermediate Part I and Part II results tomorrow September 09,2026.
Thousands of regular, private, and supplementary candidates who appeared in the intermediate annual examinations are awaiting their outcome. The board has finalized all compilation processes for pre-medical, pre-engineering, general science, and humanities groups.
Board officials have advised successful candidates to keep their credentials ready as university admissions and competitive entry test registrations across the country will commence nationwide.
Major action against heads of government schools with zero per cent results
Earlier, the Punjab School Education Department has decided to take departmental action against heads of government schools that recorded a zero per cent pass rate in the Class 9 examinations.
The department has sought complete details of schools across the province where none of the students managed to pass the recent examinations. The performance of these institutions will be reviewed and responsibility for the poor results will be determined.
According to available data, 184 schools under the Rawalpindi Board recorded a zero per cent pass rate in the Class 9 annual examinations, including 81 government schools.
The data shows that 91 schools in Rawalpindi, 35 in Attock and 26 in Chakwal recorded zero per cent results. The list also includes 24 schools in Jhelum, 10 in Murree and eight in Talagang.
Sources said the School Education Department had decided to seek explanations from the heads of schools that recorded zero per cent results. They will be asked to explain the reasons behind the poor academic performance of their institutions.
The department will also identify schools and officials responsible for consistently poor results. If unsatisfactory performance is established, departmental action will be initiated against the concerned school heads.
Officials said the performance of schools was being closely monitored as part of efforts to improve the standard of education and ensure accountability for poor academic results.
