ISLAMABAD: Thousands of overseas job vacancies are available on the website of the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), providing Pakistanis seeking work abroad with an official platform to explore employment opportunities and verify recruitment offers.
The website also allows citizens to check vacancies advertised by recruiting agencies and confirm whether the jobs have been officially authorised.
Under the government’s recruitment system, the Protector of Emigrants grants licensed recruiting agencies permission to recruit workers for specific overseas employers after examining the relevant verified documents. Each permission is valid for a specified period.
The required documents are verified through designated authorities, which may include the embassy of the destination country in Pakistan, Pakistan’s embassy in that country or the destination country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in accordance with the Emigration Rules, 1979.
Each recruitment permission is assigned a unique number, which must be included in the advertisement for the relevant job. This number enables applicants to check the vacancy details and verify its official status through the government portal.
Once permission is granted, the vacancies are automatically listed on the BEOE website under their respective permission tracking numbers. The listings are removed automatically after recruitment is completed or the authorisation period expires.
Authorities have advised Pakistanis seeking overseas employment to verify both the advertised vacancy and its permission number through the official portal before dealing with a recruiting agency. The verification process can help applicants avoid fake or unauthorised job offers.
Under the official procedure, the recruiting agency concerned is responsible for the recruitment of workers for these vacancies. Individuals facing problems or wishing to lodge complaints can approach the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment or the relevant Protector of Emigrants.
Pakistanis can visit the BEOE’s official Foreign Jobs Portal to explore available overseas vacancies and verify their authenticity before applying.
