Punjab E-Bike Scheme 2026: Students to Get Free Training, Helmets Along with Interest-Free Financing
LAHORE: Students applying for the Punjab Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme 2026 will receive several free facilities in addition to interest-free financing and government subsidies for electric bikes.
Under the scheme, eligible male and female students will be provided interest-free financing to purchase an electric bike or scooter, with the amount repayable through easy monthly installments.
Who Can Apply?
Students enrolled in eligible public and private educational institutions across Punjab can apply for the scheme.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid driving licence or learner permit. A valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is also required.
Parents or legal guardians can act as guarantors for applicants. The mobile number provided with the application must be registered in the guarantor’s name.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 4, 2026.

Electric Bike Specifications
According to the scheme details provided, eligible students will receive electric bikes equipped with a 72-volt, 30Ah battery and a 1,000-watt motor.
The bikes are expected to have a maximum speed of approximately 50 to 55 kilometres per hour.
What Will Students Get for Free?
In addition to subsidised, interest-free financing, eligible students will receive several facilities at no additional cost.
Five scooter training centres have been established in Lahore to provide free scooter-riding training to students. The centres are:
Absher Driving School
Liberty Khidmat Markaz
Greater Iqbal Park
Traffic Police Lines, Manawan
LOS, Ferozepur Road
Students interested in receiving scooter training are required to bring their CNIC.
The Lahore Traffic Police has also designated special scooter counters at the training centres to facilitate the issuance of scooter licences.
Participants in the programme will additionally receive a free helmet and protective safety equipment.
The scheme is aimed at making electric two-wheelers more accessible to students while providing them with training and basic safety equipment for safer commuting.
