PESHAWAR: In order to discuss how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to protect lives and promote peace, a three-day long 8th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (IMRC-2026) will be held at the Bara Gali.
The conference will take place from September 10 to 12 at Bara Gali Summer Campus of the University of Peshawar. Researchers, academics and technology experts will gather this international event.
The conference is being jointly organised by Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology and the University of Peshawar in collaboration with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, University of Buner and Women University Mardan.
Titled “Use of Artificial Intelligence to Protect Lives and Promote Peace: A Global Perspective,” the three-day conference will focus on the growing role of AI in healthcare, cybersecurity, disaster prediction, education, governance, agriculture, environmental sustainability, media and peace studies.
The organisers said the conference will also highlight the responsible use of AI and its potential to improve public safety, healthcare, disaster resilience and governance. The event will feature keynote sessions, technical and poster presentations, research discussions and networking opportunities. Awards will also be presented for outstanding research, including the Best Conference Paper, Best Paper and Best Poster awards.
