The International Cricket Council has released its latest Test rankings, and the new list brings good news for England’s pace attack and Pakistan’s batting and bowling line-up.

England fast bowler Ollie Robinson is the biggest name in the bowling charts this week. After a strong run in recent matches, Robinson has climbed six places to break into the top five for the first time in his career.

He now sits at No.5, his highest-ever ranking. His teammate Josh Tongue also enjoyed a rise, moving up four spots to 14th position.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas made one of the biggest jumps of the week. The experienced seamer surged ten places to 16th after his impactful spell.

Another Pakistan pacer, Mohammad Ali, also saw his stock rise with an 11-place jump that takes him to 81st in the world. At the very top, Australia’s Mitchell Starc continues to lead the Test bowling rankings.

With the bat, there was no change at the summit. England’s Harry Brook remains the No.1 Test batter in the world. Australia’s Steve Smith is still second, with England’s Joe Root holding on to third. Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel was the standout mover among batters.

The left-hander climbed 15 places and has now reached 18th position in the ICC Test batting rankings. The updated rankings reflect the performances from the recent Test fixtures and underline how quickly fortunes can change in the longest format. With the next round of Test matches approaching, players like Robinson, Abbas, and Saud will be looking to push even higher.
