PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has called a high-level consultative meeting in Peshawar to review preparations for the upcoming anti-government long march scheduled for September 27.
The Chief Minister will chair the meeting to finalize the strategy for the planned protest march toward Islamabad. The PTI’s Senators, members of the national and provincial assemblies from the province have been directed to join the meeting.
According to party sources, the meeting will focus on organizing supporters and planning logistical arrangements to facilitate a significant public presence. The provincial leadership intends that lawmakers would be assigned responsibilities across various districts.
The long march, initially announced on August 27, will now take place on September 27. Chief Minister Afridi has emphasized the importance of upholding judicial decisions and stated that the provincial leadership is committed to a peaceful and historic demonstration in the federal capital on September 27.
