PESHAWAR:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has imposed a ban on teachers visiting the Secretariat and other offices during duty hours.
According to an official notification, teachers will not be allowed to visit offices during school timings without written permission from the District Education Officer (DEO). Strict departmental action will be taken against teachers who violate the orders.
To address teachers’ issues, the department has fixed Tuesday and Thursday as designated days. Teachers can now visit offices after school timings on these two days only.
All DEOs and DDEOs have been directed to remain present in their offices on the designated days to hear teachers’ concerns.
The department has also ordered that teachers’ applications and files must be disposed of within 15 days.
