PESHAWAR: Tehsil Shah Alam administration has declared 27 housing societies in Peshawar, the provincial capital, as illegal and directed citizens to refrain from investing in them.

Officials warned residents to stay alert and avoid investment in schemes including City Residencia, Qurtuba Town, and Doctors Colony. A ban has been imposed on the purchase and sale of land in illegal housing schemes.

Citizens have been instructed to compulsorily check the NOC before buying any plot. According to the administration, the following schemes in Tehsil Shah Alam have been declared illegal: Gulistan Colony, Khyber Town, Al-Madina Colony, Babozai Garden, Overseas Colony, and Al-Rashid Plotting. Citizens have been directed not to book plots in these projects.

The list of illegal societies also includes city Residencia, New Qurtuba Model Town, Old Qurtuba Model Town, Gulistan Colony, Khyber Town, Qari Mustaqeem Plotting, Doctors Colony, Al-Madina Colony, Malikabad Colony, Nazim Javed & Maqsood Plotting, Haji Shafaat & Qadeem Plotting, Gulshan-e-Madina Colony, Dr. Ghulam Nabi & Muhammad Amin Plotting, Malik Zahid Plotting, Akbar Associates Plotting, Haji Noor Bashir & Sameen Gul Plotting, Haji Naeem Plotting, Wazir Plotting, Ehtesham, Asad & Dilroz Plotting, Haji Gul Dad & Ejaz Khan Plotting, Babozai Garden, New Gul Colony, Ayaz Khan Plotting, Overseas Colony, Al-Rashid Plotting, Aqar Plotting, and Fareed Plotting.

The administration cautioned that those who invest in illegal societies may face legal complications. Officials urged the public to verify all documents and NOCs from relevant authorities before making any property transaction to avoid fraud and financial loss.
