PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued a written order summoning the Controller of Examinations in a case concerning a student who was inexplicably awarded zero marks in his biology theory paper.
During the hearing, the court directed the relevant examination board authorities to produce the original biology answer script of the student, Abdul Moeiz, for a physical inspection.
Counsel representing the petitioner argued before the bench that the student has an exemplary academic track record, having secured an A-plus grade across all other subjects.
The lawyer contended that receiving a zero in a single subject, despite exceptional overall academic performance, raised serious concerns and doubts regarding the transparency of the marking and evaluation process.
Following the preliminary arguments and the issuance of the written order, the Peshawar High Court adjourned further proceedings in the case until August 25.
