PESHAWAR: Gold prices today recorded 471936 per Tola of 24 Karat, while 10 grams is being sold at Rs 404609 today.

According to local and international bullion markets, gold prices jumped by $137 per ounce on Thursday, bringing the new global rate to $4,495 per ounce. Under the impact of the global surge, local sarafa markets also recorded a big increase on the fourth day of the business week.

The price of gold per tola rose by Rs 13,700, reaching a new level of Rs 471,936 per tola. Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams increased by Rs 11,746 and was recorded at Rs 404,609. Along with gold, silver prices also climbed in the local market.

The price of silver per tola went up by Rs 317 to Rs 7,169, while the price of silver per 10 grams also increased by Rs 317 to Rs 6,146. Market analysts say the sharp rise is linked to global economic uncertainty and increased demand in international markets, which is directly affecting local prices in Peshawar and other cities across Pakistan.
