ISLAMABAD: Gold prices surged sharply in Pakistan and international markets on Thursday, just a day after the previous increase, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association.
The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs13,700 per tola, reaching Rs471,936, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs10,768 to Rs404,609.
Silver prices also moved higher, with the price of one tola increasing by Rs369 to Rs7,169.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $137 per ounce, reaching $4,495, according to the association.
The latest increase comes amid continued volatility in precious metals markets, with both gold and silver recording significant gains in the domestic market.
