PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department has issued directives to all principals of government colleges in the province to allocate separate spaces for prayers.
According to an official letter, the department instructed colleges to ensure facilities for staff and students to offer prayers. All colleges have been ordered to establish prayer rooms at appropriate locations and provide necessary facilities.
The letter noted that several colleges currently do not have designated places for prayers.
The department stated that allocating proper space for prayers aims to facilitate the performance of religious obligations and maintain discipline.
All Regional Directorates and concerned Joint Management Committees (JMCs) have been directed to ensure implementation of the instructions.
