ISLAMABAD: Pakistani professionals have been offered international career opportunities at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment sharing details of available positions.

According to the bureau, UNESCO is offering positions ranging from P-1 to P-5 levels, as well as D-1 and D-2 director-level posts, providing Pakistani professionals with an opportunity to pursue careers at an international organisation.

The available opportunities cover a wide range of fields, including education, science, culture, administration, finance, engineering and social sciences.

Applicants are required to hold a relevant university degree, professional qualifications and practical experience in their respective fields. Strong communication skills are also required, while proficiency in English and French is preferred for many positions.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on international projects and may receive a range of benefits under UNESCO rules, including basic salary, family allowances, education assistance for children, travel allowances and other applicable benefits.
