ISLAMABAD: Gold prices fell in Pakistan on Thursday after recording strong gains over the past several days, while international gold prices also declined.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs 3,500 per tola, bringing the price to Rs 460,436. The price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs 3,001 to Rs 394,749.
The decline comes after a sharp rise in domestic gold prices over the previous week. Gold had gained Rs 36,000 per tola in seven days, reflecting the strong upward momentum seen in the market.
Silver prices also moved lower, with the price of one tola falling by Rs 175 to Rs 6,936.
In the international market, gold prices declined by $35 per ounce to $4,380, marking a pullback after several days of gains.
Market movements in international gold prices, currency exchange rates and domestic demand continue to influence precious-metal prices in Pakistan.
