‎‎PESHAWAR: Two major processions will be taken out in Peshawar on Monday to mark Chehlum Imam Hussain (RA), with authorities putting a comprehensive security and traffic plan in place across the city.

‎The first procession will begin at 3:00 PM from Zuljanah Imambargah, Akhwandabad, Mohalla Naujodi, Church Road, inside Kohati Gate. It will pass through its designated route and conclude at the same Imambargah.

‎The second main procession will be taken out at 4:00 PM from the Central Shia Jamia Masjid, Kocha Risaldar. Thousands of mourners are expected to participate in the central procession.

‎Officials said all processions will follow their pre-approved routes and end at their respective Imambargahs.

‎District administration and police have enforced a special security plan along the procession routes. Security agencies have been placed on high alert to maintain law and order.

‎To ensure public safety, mobile phone services will remain suspended in the inner city areas during the processions.

‎A special traffic plan has also been devised to maintain traffic flow on alternate routes. Citizens have been advised to use alternative roads during the procession timings to avoid congestion.

‎The administration urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement personnel deployed along the routes.
