The Sindh government has issued a notification announcing a 50 per cent increase in the conveyance allowance for government employees.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Finance Department, the enhanced allowance will be paid under revised rates based on employees’ pay grades.
Under the new structure, the monthly conveyance allowance for employees in Grades 1 to 4 has been increased from Rs1,785 to Rs2,678, while employees in Grades 5 to 10 will receive Rs2,898, up from Rs1,932.
For employees in Grades 11 to 15, the monthly conveyance allowance has been raised from Rs2,856 to Rs4,284. Meanwhile, officers and employees in Grade 16 and above will now receive Rs7,500 per month, compared to the previous Rs5,000.
The Finance Department said the increase was announced in the Sindh government’s 2026-27 budget and is now being implemented through the official notification.
The decision is expected to benefit hundreds of thousands of provincial government employees by providing additional financial relief.
Government employees welcomed the increase in the allowance and expressed hope that the provincial government would continue taking measures to address other issues affecting public sector workers.
