QUETTA: Security forces have arrested a key terrorist of Fitna Al-Hindustan, identified as Habibullah, during an operation in Balochistan, who confessed to attacks and links with the Baloch Yakjahti Council.
In his confessional statement, he revealed details about the terror network’s recruitment, training and attacks across the province. Habibullah belongs to the Serandwah area of Tehsil Ornach, District Khuzdar.
He said the organization recruited him with false promises and financial greed. He was first taken to Chanal Dasht for indoctrination and later shifted to Sarghar Camp for training. At the camp, he was trained in the use of weapons, explosives and ambush tactics.
He was also taught how to hide his identity and escape after carrying out attacks. He confessed that for just Rs 25,000 he took part in acts of terrorism against his own Baloch people. Payments were made after every operation. He received Rs 25,000 each following the Khuzdar and Bela attacks.
He admitted to supplying weapons, ammunition, explosives, food and medicines to terrorist groups. Habibullah said he participated in attacks on Sunaro Camp, Khuzdar, Naal and Bela.
He stated that before every terrorist activity, weapons, instructions and contacts were provided by the organization. He revealed that two civilians were killed in firing by terrorists during the attack on a Khuzdar police check post.
He further claimed that his identification took place during protests organized by BYC, which he described as a proxy of Fitna Al-Hindustan. According to him, most of his companions joined the group due to unemployment.
The organization lures people with dreams and then blackmails them so they cannot return. Anyone who tries to leave is killed. He added that there was no proper arrangement for food in the camps and militants survived by looting nearby villages.
Security officials said Habibullah’s confession once again proves the involvement of Fitna Al-Hindustan in terrorism in Balochistan. The arrested terrorist has been taken for further investigation.
