At least 16 employees of the Punjab University Transport Wing were injured when their bus plunged into a ravine on Sunday.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab University, there were 19 university employees on board the bus who were going to Naran, Kaghan on a personal tour. The accident occurred when the driver tried to avoid a vehicle coming from the front; due to skidding on the road, the bus lost control and fell into a ditch.
Immediately after the accident, the injured employees were shifted to the Mansehra District Headquarters Hospital, where they were provided medical assistance. According to the spokesperson, all the injured employees have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.
The spokesperson for the Punjab University said that there was no loss of life in the accident, while the university administration is taking care of and providing full care to the injured employees.
